The sprouting flower stub code contains an invalid C-style for loop.
Additionally, I don’t see anywhere in the instructions how much the stem should grow for each iteration. (it’s there, as Isaac pointed out)

Can you tell us what it is expected to be?
I eventually pored over the instructions (“before drawing” was the key)
I still wish that the vague error message could be followed up with at least one value that was different than expected.
1 per cycle in the prose prior to the list of numbers.

Which error? The stub code is invalid. You can delete it and replace it with valid code, though.
